According to reports, Ibrahim Owodunni, also known as Primeboy, was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday. Primeboy was the close friend of the late musician Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
On the basis of a request from Mohbad's wife, Wunmi, the Command arrested and questioned PrimeBoy at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba.
Someone closest to PrimeBoy said that he was arrested with his friend Fisayo, also known as Spending.
Ever since Primeboy and Spending were asked to come to the SCID once a week to assist with the investigation into the unfortunate passing of singer Mohbad.
Spending was released during Tuesday's visit, but Primeboy was taken into custody.
In response, Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the state police, informed reporters that the afro singer had been questioned on allegations of character slander and other charges mentioned in Wunmi's petition.
He stated, "Primeboy's bail during Mohbad's case was granted subject to the requirement that he sign in to the state CID every Tuesday in order to keep a watch on him and prevent him from running away.
He therefore arrived today and took longer than normal. This is as a result of a petition that Mohbad's wife wrote against him that included defamation of character. On the allegation, he was questioned. I was informed that the DC had asked him to leave after the interrogation. Thus, the SCID verified to me that he had departed the location around five minutes prior (6.12 p.m.).
Around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, the insider revealed that Primeboy had not yet left the police facility.
