Samklef, a popular Nigerian music producer, responded immediately to singer Adekunle Gold's hard warning against calling out his wife, Simi. Samklef earlier stated that he was on the verge of pursuing a relationship with Adekunle Gold's wife Simi after her separation from her then-partner, Lekan. Expressing his disgust, he told people he had assisted, including Simi, for being ungrateful, which influenced his approach towards helping others. He stated that he was willing to forgive Simi if she apologised for her actions, but warned that if she did not, he would continue to remind her of her true character.
Adekunle Gold then confronted him, ordering him to stop mentioning his wife's name because she owed him nothing. In response, Samklef encouraged Adekunle Gold establish appreciation in his wife and concentrate on advancing his musical career.
