Fireboy DML, a Nigerian artist, revealed that he chose to collaborate with teammate Rema rather than battle like Wizkid and Davido online.
He claims Fireboy and Rema are "advanced" because of this. In an interview with Apple Music's Ebro, Fireboy declared that he and Rema are the two leading [Afrobeats] artists of our generation. We came together and decided that rather of giving the audience what they want, which is meat, we should collaborate. Because we're too advanced for this stuff. "We didn't even give them a club banger; we created good music. "We have five more collaborations."
Fireboy and Rema were compared on social media after achieving success in the same year. The comparison wore off until Fireboy featured Rema on the song 'Compromise' from his third studio album, 'Palyboy'. The joint song indicated that they were on good terms.
