 Bandits killed at least 30 people in two
 separate attacks on communities in Katsina 
 State's Dutsinma and Safana local government areas. ASP Abubakar Aliyu, Katsina State's Public Relations Officer, confirmed this on Friday. The villages affected are Tashar Kawai Mai Zurfi, Sabon Gari Unguwar Banza, Dogon Ruwa, Sanawar Kurecen Dutsi, Unguwar Bera, Kuricin Kulawa, Larabar Tashar Mangoro, Sabaru, Ashata, Unguwar Ido, Kanbiri, Kunamawar Mai Awaki, and Kunamawar 'Yargandu. The bandits were believed to have killed the victims on Tuesday.
Aliyu said, "The Command, in concert with all necessary stakeholders, increases efforts to achieve the arrest of the perpetrators of the horrible crime, while additional security measures are being implemented to prevent future recurrence of such situations. "Any further developments will be notified in due time, please. Sorry, I'm at a workshop. I apologise, please." He added. According to PUNCH, the attacks took villagers to flee to closest villages in Dutsinma and Turare for refuge.
