In a recent interview with The Beat FM in Lagos, D'banj revealed his desire to emulate Portable's unbridled creativity, highlighting their mutual love of spontaneity. D'banj reflected on his early days in the music industry, recalling the thrill of creating and releasing songs on the fly, without hesitancy. He criticised existing business standards, which often require waiting weeks or months to release new music, and praised Portable for keeping the spirit of spontaneity.
D'banj feels that everyone may benefit from adopting Portable's method for music and life. He feels Portable's resolve to take chances and mix talent and luck teaches artists to be loyal to their ideas and embrace their individuality.
