On Wednesday, a fire broke out at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Lekki Free Zone, Lagos.
In response to the incident, Dangote Group's Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, stated in a statement to Vanguard that the fire has been contained and that there is no need for concern.
The statement read: "We quickly extinguished a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP) today, Wednesday, June 26th. "There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating normally, and there are no recorded injuries or bodily harm to any of our staff on duty."
