He announced that the record, titled 'Morayo' in honour of his mother, will be published "very soon." While getting off of a private plane, Wizkid stated, "My album 'Morayo', dedicated to my mother, the love of my life, will be out very soon. Don't be dull. "Do not sleep." It should be noted that Wizkid's mother, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, died on August 18, 2023, in London and was buried in Nigeria; a difficult time for the artist and his family. Wizkid admitted that the agony of losing his mother "hurts deeply." He went on to say, "The pain is profound."
