Sophia Momodu, celebrity musician Davido's first baby mom, reportedly submits a counter 102-paragraph affidavit contesting his bid for joint custody of their daughter, Imade. It should be noted that just days before his traditional wedding, Davido filed a lawsuit seeking shared custody of his daughter, stating that Sophia was refusing him access and demanding money from him.
The musician said that his relationship with Momodu ended years ago and that they had agreed to co-parent their child. However, he claimed that this arrangement was not followed, claiming that Sophia refused his housing offer and demanded a monthly fee of N5 million, among other things. Sophia responded by stating that she had an affair with Davido from 2020 to 2022, while he was dating Chioma. She rejected charges that she denied him access to their daughter, Imade, stating that Davido had never attempted to see her and had abandoned her because she refused to have sex with him.
According to recent reports, Sophia has filed a 102-paragraph document to challenge Davido's request for joint custody. The affidavit was filed by her legal team, Dr. Anthony Idigbe SAN of Punuka Attorneys and Dr. Bimpe Ajegbomogun. The estranged couple's next hearing is slated for Friday, July 5, 2024.
