Afrobeat musician Ibrahim Owodunni, also known as Primeboy, was re-arrested by the Lagos State Police Command, according to a previous report by GISTLOVER. It was allegedly connected to the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, that he was arrested.
Punch reported that during a visit to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, Yaba on Tuesday morning, March 12, he was arrested together with a witness named Ayobami Fisayo, also known by the nickname Spending.
At the age of 27, Mohbad passed away on September 12 under suspicious circumstances. His followers were outraged and staged protests calling for a police investigation and the arrest of those accountable for his death.
Singer Naira Marley, Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, aka Sam Larry, and Primeboy were among those jailed and then released on bail after a number of allegations.
It was also discovered that Primeboy and Spending had been needed to make an appearance at the SCID once a week since the inquiry into the events surrounding the singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad,'s death began.
Spending was freed on the same day that Primeboy was detained on Tuesday, March 12.
