Strong feelings permeate the air at the late Herbert Wigwe, the head of Access Bank, and his wife Chizoba and son Chizi's funeral at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Lion of Judah Parish in Isiokpi, Rivers State.
Many faces became teary at the serious occasion. His children who were still alive were seen with brave faces.

According to Nwankpa Chijioke GistReel, on February 9, a helicopter crash in the United States claimed the lives of Herbert Wigwe, his wife Doreen, son Chizzy, and former Managing Director of the Nigerian Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo. On Friday, their remains landed at Rivers State for their final resting place.
Dignitaries attending the burial today include Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Governors Sim Fubara (Rivers), and Douye Diri (Bayelsa).
Ateke Tom, the King of Okochiri Kingdom, Hope Uzodinma, the Governor of Imo state, and Umo Eno, the Governor of Akwa Ubom state, are present.

Aliko Dangote, president of the Dangote Group; Chibuike Amaechi, former minister of transport; Peter Obi, a 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate; and Bukola Saraki, a former senator, are also there.
Present are also Senator Seriake Dickson, the recent governor of Bayelsa, and Kayode Fayemi, the former governor of Ekiti.
Dr. Godknows Igali, a former Nigerian ambassador, and Olatunji Disu, the state's commissioner of police, who serves as the funeral ceremony's chief security officer (CSO), are also present.
In attendance are members of the clergy, traditional leaders from Wigwe's hometown of Omoeke, and monarchs from Isiokpo as a whole.
