DNA: Mohbad’s Father Confirms Plastering Court Order On Wunmi’s Gate
Joseph Aloba, the late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has alleged that he served a notice of the pending DNA test application on his son's wife, Wunmi, using a substituted means.According to PUNCH Metro, the outcome was issued by the Ikorodu Chief Magistrate Court on Monday last week. Monisola Odumosu, the Aloba family's lawyer, confirmed to our correspondent on Friday that the notice was posted at Wunmi's last known address earlier that day. Odumosu stated, "The law required that an application to employ alternative legal means to serve the respondent be adopted. So, as a result of the court's ruling in this regard, we served the notice and posted it at her last known address. "On Friday morning." "We expect her to be in court or his legal representation on May 14, 2024," the attorney went on to say. The Aloba family, represented by Mohbad's father, has filed a lawsuit seeking a DNA test for his grandson Liam. The family requested a court order mandating the test to be performed at the applicant's expense in a recognised and accredited government or private medical facility inside the state. It also requested an order ordering Wunmi and Master Liam Aloba to undergo DNA testing. The family's action also looked for that the chief pathologist in charge of Mohbad's remains, which are presently stored at the Military Hospital in Yaba Lagos, be granted permission to obtain samples from the deceased's corpse in order to conduct a DNA test on Liam. The family's lawyer, however, claimed that an attempt to serve the court proceedings on Mohbad's wife on Friday, March 8, at her Lekki home was unsuccessful. Mohbad died at the age of 27 on September 12, 2023, and the circumstances surrounding his death prompted a social media debate.
