Oleksandr Usyk has received a temporary suspension following his spectacular victory over Tyson Fury. Following an exciting battle between the two fighters, Usyk came near to knocking down Fury in the ninth round, but the ropes kept the Brit from falling to the canvas. Despite Fury's claims that he caused his opponent's jaw fracture, Usyk was examined thoroughly at the hospital and given a clean bill of health following the fight. The British Boxing Board of Control has decided to suspend Usyk until June 2 owing to injuries incurred during his fight with Fury. Fury's boxing record shows no mention of any suspensions. Despite the suspension, Usyk's boxing career will not be put at risk because the Ukrainian boxer intends to take a break following a hard nine-month training camp. The highly awaited battle with Fury was initially moved from December to February, then to May, according to the Mirror.

"My camp started in September 2023 and I worked for nine months." "I missed Happy New Year, my son's birthday, my other son's birthday, my daughter's birthday, and her birth. Usyk's reign as the undisputed champion is set to be short-lived. The IBF is prepared to remove him of the title owing to his contractual obligations for a rematch with Fury in October, which prevents him from facing mandatory challenger Filip Hrgovic.
