A Nigerian wife has resorted to the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to outline her revenge intentions after her husband of five years allegedly infected her with HIV. The anonymous message highlighted her concerns and the harsh measures she plans to take in retaliation to the betrayal.
The woman has been married to her husband for five years, and they have two children. She claimed to have made considerable sacrifices for her spouse, including giving him her first ₦5 million. Despite her best attempts, she learnt that her spouse had cheated on her and infected her with the virus. In her article, she detailed her plans to transfer all property documents, including those obtained jointly and entirely in his name, to her name.
She also stated that she plans to leave the nation with their children next year, never to return, without alerting her family, who had previously advised her to stay in the marriage despite her husband's infidelity. The wife wrote, "This man I married gave me HIV after only five years of marriage." I gave this man everything, including my first ₦5 million. Despite everything, this is how he compensated me. He'll be back at square one after I move all of the property records to my name—both those I bought for him and those we bought together."
"I would have infected his entire family, but instead I'll make sure he had a stroke. I am leaving the country with my two children next year, never to return, and I will not notify anyone, even my family. They all recommended me to stick with him after I discovered he was cheating. When we were broke, this man did not cheat, but after I helped him, this is my recompense." The post elicited a rush of responses, with many worried people taking to the comments area to give their thoughts on her situation and plans.
