President Bola Tinubu has received praise from former president Muhammadu Buhari, who noted that despite the challenges of leading Nigeria, the president has done a good job.
When Buhari met with the comptroller-general and other members of the Nigeria Customs Service management team on Sunday in Daura, Katsina State, he expressed his appreciation in this way.
Buhari says that leading Nigeria is a difficult task for anyone and that there is little that anyone can do to help the nation.
He pointed out that notwithstanding the economic hardships faced by Nigerians nationwide, President Tinubu has done a good job since taking office.
The outgoing president urged Nigerians to put up with the nation's economic hardships in exchange for their support of the administration's policies and efforts.
"Thank you so much for coming," he remarked. Thank you so much for that. I felt Tinubu performed admirably.
Nigeria has so many facets. Really, not much can be done by anybody," he continued.
Remember that after Buhari stepped down from power on May 29, 2023, Nigeria's economic misery has gotten worse.
Concurrently, Tinubu announced on the day of the inauguration that his government will stop providing fuel subsidies.
