Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has advised Nigerians to stop questioning the deaths of Nollywood film stars.
She said that everyone must accept death as an inevitable call from nature.
Rita Edochie took to Instagram to voice her displeasure with inquiries such as "What's going on in Nollywood?" She pointed out that death is an inevitable part of life. "It doesn't just rap on actors; it raps on doors."
She continued by saying that people's reactions to the news of their deaths, whether favourable or unfavourable, are swift due to their famous status and the influence they had on the entertainment business.
Rita Edochie highlighted how important it is to pay respect to the deceased.If teachers, medical professionals, solicitors, company owners, and even pastors may pass away, what makes the deaths of filmmakers any different?
"People frequently ask things like, 'What's going on in Nollywood? Especially in Nigeria. Why are actors passing away? Something has gone wrong; what exactly is wrong?
"Are performers not also people? Since death is merely an annoyance of nature, please stop asking questions like this. They are quite bothersome.
Rita Edochie offered her sympathies to the recently departed 62-year-old Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor, stating that nothing could save him from passing away in spite of his best attempts to live.
Too bad he was unable to fully recover from this sickness. "Your leaving has left an irreplaceable void in the midst of my family and me," Amaechi said.
"You were more than just a sibling and colleague; you shone brightly every day, brightening our days with your contagious laugh and steadfast generosity.
She said, "We remember the innumerable moments we shared and the lessons learned from your wisdom, and we feel your absence deeply."
Recall that just a few days prior to the actor's passing, Rita Edochie had asked for help.
