Kanayo, a veteran movie star, has once again dismissed rumours that he practices at night rituals for money and success. In an interview with The Punch, Kanayo categorically denied ever visiting any fetish shrine at night to get a competitive advantage over his colleagues.
In response to a question about his enduring success and relevance in the film industry, the veteran actor humbly attributed his success to a possible divine favour, rather than any extraordinary efforts on his part. He emphasised that he simply approaches his craft with dedication and professionalism. Despite winning the Best Actor award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2006, he remains modest.
